DBC2 expression is extinguished in approximately half of breast and lung cancers.
It means that DBC2 is not functioning in these cancer cells.
We are studying how cancer cells suppress DBC2 expression.
Table RT-PCR analysis of DBC2, TNFRSF10B, and DBC1.
The percentage of the specimens with detectable expression of the indicated gene is listed. The denominator in the parenthesis indicates the number of specimen tested and the numerator, the number of positives. Neoplasm specimens are cell lines; normal specimens are tissue. DBC2 is working in 42 % of breast cancr cells we tested.
